Still Lost After All These Years

The finale of 'Lost' -- WTF?  What kind of resolution was that?  I still don't know where the dang island came from in the first place (my theory's always been Atlantis).  Who made it?  And if the light-filled water cures the dead but makes them evil (Man in Black, Sayeed), why would you protect it and the stupid island in the first place?  And how did the Dharma folks know to keep the Black Smoke out with some fancy electronic squealing?  Ah, too many unanswered questions after six years.  The ending itself -- meeting up after they're all dead -- feh, OK, I suppose, but not a real winner.

  1. I appreciate the resolution of Claire getting back with Charlie and all... but what the hell did that have to do with the island. If anyTHING needed to be resolved it was THE MOTHERFUCKING ISLAND! The biggest character of the whole show was nothing at all, inconsequential, because the SOBS were dead? Lame. LAME!!!!

I'm so angry, but not as angry as this guy:http://gawker.com/5545877/the-lost-finale-was-incredibly-dumb

  4. I found the LOST finale amazing -- the theme of redemption was a bigger deal for me than where the island came from -- but I was left with some questions, too. (Did you read my LOST post today?!) I can't wait for the Season 6 DVD to come out. It's supposed to have "bonus answers" for us!!

BTW -- one thing that bugs me is that some people may misunderstand and think that they were dead all along. They weren't dead all along. They had the experiences on the island, and I believe they created the sideways world (the alternate reality where they all found one another) when Juliet detonated that bomb.

I LOVED LOST -- the whole series. All of it. I even love the things we don't know. God, I am on that shows nuts. Go to ew.com and read the finale recap. It's intensespice.

  5. I've watched it on and off for years. As for the ending, I liked that they gave a conclusion, but they still gave no answers whatsoever. I feel like it was kind of a copout. Make us feel good by showing all the reunions, but then don't explain anything we've been wondering about for years.

  6. I loved the finale because it made me happy to see everyone together again, but there were a LOT of unanswered questions - like how did the A-bomb undo their landing on the island? By killing everyone so they could meet up in the afterlife? I feel like I need to watch the whole series again from the beginning - and then I'll probably be even more confused. I think the producers just needed to tie everything up and did the best they could. What I'm most curious about is how much of the story line did they have planned from the beginning, and how much did they make up as they went along?
