QueryBomb: One Full Down, Two to Go

One full rejected this a.m. with usual boilerplate. That leaves two to go. It doesn't seem more responses to the bombload of queries will be coming in. Have 80 percent of agents now become serial non-responders? That's pretty sad.

On a happier note...oh, actually, I've got nothing to fill that blank with.

  1. On a happier note...you've still got two pending full requests!!

  2. You're doing something right or you would not be getting requests for fulls. But you know that. I think it is sad that more agents don't at least have an auto-responder to their queries. If agents like Janet Reid and Nathan Bransford can respond to every single query they receive than other agents can too.

  3. On a happier note, you're far ahead of those of us not querying.

  4. Sorry to hear about the full rejection. There ain't no verbiage that'll act as a salve on that hurt. It just sucks.

I wouldn't discount more query responses just yet. Keep in mind a LOT of agents went on query holidays in August and re-opened to queries in Sept, so they probably got inundated. Also, achingly polite nudges here and there can't hurt. I used to do that when the agent didn't specifically say they were no response = no. Sometimes I did it even when they did say no response = no, you know, just to be a pain in the butt.

  5. So sorry about the R, but - two fulls still out there is a great thing!

  6. Will you start blogging more if I do? WTF?! I have been gone three weeks, and I come back and you only have 4 posts waiting for me and they are all pretty much GAY.

Ha.... love you... did you miss me, Travy?!

  7. Amber! Has it only been three weeks? Seems like ages. Of course I missed you. We've all missed you. How's that bun-in-the-oven doing?
