QueryBomb's Shock and Awe

QueryBomb(TM) continues to pummel the resistance out of literary agents, resulting in another request for a full today.  Now, that could well be the end of the line.  Earlier research by this here blog established that if you were going to get a positive result to your query--indeed, if you were going to get any kind of result at all--you were likely to get it within just a few days of sending your query.  But even if that's the case, I'll be more or less satisfied with the big bang I've gotten out of QueryBomb(TM).

  1. Just to be clear, this is the SAME query you were sending out before?

  3. Please tell me you didn't start querying Aug 21, 2000, and that you meant 2009. Please? My heart's breaking.

  4. Yikes. Thanks for pointing that out, Anonymous. Yes, August 2009. I'm gonna fix it right now.

  5. You're going to have to change the title of your thread from Query Bomb to Query Dazzle. I've started to re-query too and received two lovely rejections in two days. In the past I've received four requests for fulls so I don't think the problem is in my ms so much as in my query itself. Hell, I don't know. But I know the recent success you've had is phenomenal. So yes, regardless of the eventual outcome you should be celebrating today.

  6. Are the fulls from agents you've querried before?

  7. Anonymous - yes and no. One I queried in January but got no response. One I hadn't queried before. One is at an agency I queried before, but I hadn't queried her in particular.

  8. Yay for the request. I have heard that also about most requests coming quickly. I did notice a lot of that when I was querying, but I had quite a few that came much later, so I don't think the others are out of the running yet!

  9. You da man! Seriously - shock and awe indeed.

(Btw, thanks for your implicit offer on my blog. I need to force myself to fix it up myself before I subject you or anyone else to it.)
