A WTF Moment

A literary agent who recently rejected my partial sent me an e-mail asking me to friend her on Facebook.

WTF? Do some people never clean out their address book?

  1. Really? He/she obviously doesn't pay attention to details. You know what they say....it's better to have no agent than a bad one. Aren't you glad you don't have this one? Or maybe it was intentional and they think that on the basis of their rejection you should be "friends".

  2. And I thought it was just the writers who were expected to do stupid things :-)

  3. That's odd.

Did you accept her as a friend?

  4. I think you should send a friend rejection.

"Thank you for your interest in friending me. Unfortunately, I don't feel I am the right friend for you. I encourage you to continue requesting friends. The right friend is out there."

  5. Don't forget to include how your just aren't very enthusiastic about being their friend.

    That's always a good one.

  6. Love some of these response suggestions. There is always "Thank you for your request. Sadly, I get so many requests I cannot answer them all. If you do not hear from me in two weeks it means your FB friendship just isn't for me."
